Follow-up Consultation – 15 to 20 minutes – £155.00 to £190.00

Please remember that seeing a Private Neurologist is a contract between you and the doctor. If you have private health insurance this may reimburse you for the whole or part of that cost, but ultimately it is the patient who is responsible for the fees in line with the contractual arrangement with that Doctor. Whilst an average time is given for a consultation it may be longer or shorter depending on necessity.

In most cases of UK private health insurance patients are required to have a GP or specialist referral. It is increasingly the case that some insurance companies have a limit to fees for consultations, unfortunately the patient will be required to pay the excess. It is also encouraged that patients supply their NHS GP details so they may be copied into any correspondence. If you do not wish your GP or other doctor to be informed of the consultation please inform Dr Turner.

Please note that investigations, including blood tests, are charged by the hospital not Dr Turner, please check that your insurance policy will cover these costs as if the cost is above policy limits unfortunately the patient is responsible for payment and this can be expensive. Please check that tests are covered by insurance before they are performed. If there are problems concerning the fees then this should be addressed prior to the consultation or before taking up treatment and this can be discussed both with your insurance company and with Dr Turner’s team.

If you are unable to attend and/or would like to reschedule/cancell your appointment, please call us at the earliest to inform us. Please note unattended appointment and cancellation within 24 hours to the appointment may be charged in full.
